Activities collected, compiled and created by Mike Spiller

 Baby Food Hot Potato
Like hot potato with baby food and person who has it the baby food when music stops has to eat it! I played this at youth group it was SO FUN!!!!!!!!

 Balloon Stomp Game
You must have heard of this game, but it isn't on your website. We play it adults and kids together: Tie a half blown balloon to each guest’s ankle with an arms length of string. At the word Go, everyone tries to stomp on each other’s to pop. Loads of fun! We love playing it on the beach because the sand makes it more challenging!

Bean Bag Toss Game
Cut several circles out of a piece of cardboard, or a large box. Decorate the cardboard with things from your birthday party theme. Use beanbags or socks (filled with beans and tied) to throw into the holes. Give small prizes if they make it in the holes.

Birthday Party Favors Icebreaker game
Give out birthday party favors and have the birthday guests find their match. You will need two matching items for every two party guests. Fun inexpensive items are: different colored balloons, different colored noisemakers, birthday hats, crowns, plastic bugs, etc. Fun icebreaker game

Blind Make Over Game
The first person puts on a blindfold and does the makeup of the second person.  Then when they are done the second person puts on the blindfold and does the makeup of the third person.  Draw numbers to determine the order.  Really funny - take pictures so you can keep the memories.

 Buzz-Bomb Balloon
All players inflate their balloon. Some players may need help.  When the adult helper says "1,2,3,GO!"  The players release their balloons in the direction of the target. If you are having a theme party, use a picture from the theme as the target center. Score 5 points for the closest balloon and 15 points for a direct hit. This game works well with teams - each team gets their own colored balloons; red, blue, green etc. Or, you do not need to keep score at all and just have fun playing the game several times

 Cake Walk
Set up a circle of numbers on the ground and have everyone stand on a number.  Begin playing festive music and have everyone walk from number to number. Draw a number from a hat and then stop the music. Whoever is standing on that number when the music stops is the winner!  I have played this game at many school carnivals where the prize is a cake. But, you can give away something different.

Candy Hunt Sleepover Game - Ask everyone to bring a flashlight (or provide them for everyone) to the slumber party.  Before everyone arrives at the party ask a parent or sibling to hide candy all over the yard.  When it gets dark have everyone take their flashlights outside and hunt for the candy.

 Cartoon Couples Icebreaker
Choose cartoon couples and write their names on pieces of paper. Have each birthday party guest choose a piece of paper from a bowl when they arrive. Ask them to find the other half of their cartoon couple. Examples: Sponge Bob and Patrick, Scooby Do and Shaggy, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. Fun icebreaker game!

 Catch the Balloon
"IT" holds a balloon and calls out a number while dropping the balloon
to the floor. The holder of that number then tries to catch the balloon before it touches the floor. If the player is successful 'it' tries another number. If the balloon touches the floor then that player is "it".

 Commercial Game
Draw numbers to see who goes first.  The first person stands up and the number 2 person chooses an object from the room.  The first person then must make up a commercial about the object and speak for 30 seconds about it.  Then #3 picks an object for #2's commercial and so on.

 Cooperative Musical Chairs
This is a great version of Musical Chairs and fun to use for an icebreaker. For this icebreaker game set up a circle of chairs with one less chair than the number of birthday party guests. Play music as the guests circle around the chairs. When the music stops, the birthday guests must sit in a seat. Unlike the traditional game, the person without a seat is not out. Instead, someone must make room for that person. Remove another seat and start the music again. The kids end up on one another's laps and sharing chairs! Fun icebreaker game!

 Dance Contest
Play some old Chubby Checker "Twist" music and see who can twist the best!  You will just have to pick out a judge and let them pick the winner.  Of course it doesn’t have to be the twist.   It could be the Macarena.

 Don't Say It!
Give out bead necklaces to each person as they arrive. tell them that if they say birthday at all through the party they have to give the person they said it to their beads. the person who has the most beads at the end of the party wins and gets a prize. (singing happy birthday does not count).

 Drama Bag Game
Fill several shopping bags (or any container)  with 5 different items.  The items can be anything - shoe, comb, penny etc.  - but fill each bag with different items.  Divide birthday party guests into equal teams and give each team one bag.  Teams then go to different rooms and create a skit or play which must include all items in the bag.  After 15 minutes gather them all together and let them perform their skits for each other.     Game Variation:  The party guests create a song, commercial or tribute to the birthday child.

 Dress up Game!!
1st give each group a skit and tell them to dress up like there character.
2nd don’t give the  players REAL CLOTHES use aluminum foil, Saran wrap, and toilet paper!!

 Egg Race
And yet another classic picnic race party game.  Have everyone line up with an egg on a spoon.  Then start the race and the first to cross the finish line without dropping the egg is the winner.  If you use hard boiled eggs, then you can eat all the eggs after the race is over.

 Fashion Show
One of our girls favorite activities!  Collect a large box full of all kinds of fabulous items such as boas, tiaras, wigs, capes, fancy dresses, high heel shoes, sunglasses, hairpieces, long necklaces and big earrings.  Tape off a long "runway" or use an outside walkway to walk down.  Let them dress up and walk down the "runway" to fun music.  Take pictures with a digital camera or video tape them so you can make them a CD or DVD of their birthday show.

 Foil Make Over Game
The object is to create the best outfit out of aluminum foil.  Crazy game and lots of fun.  This can be played individually or if you have a lot of girls separate into teams.  Give each person / team 1 or 2 rolls of aluminum foil.  You can also use rubber bands or pieces of string if you want.  Create the most fabulous outfit you can using the aluminum foil.  Tops, pants, skirts, shorts ... and don't forget the sunglasses, jewelry, hats, flip-flops, tiaras booties, belts ...anything your imagination can dream up.  Take pictures of your creations.

 Guess and Win Game
Fill a see through jar with lots of small candy, jellybeans, skittles, marbles or small toys. Count them before you put them into the jar. As the children arrive for the birthday party have them guess how many toys or candies they think are in the jar. Write down each birthday party guest's guess. At the end of the birthday party reveal who guessed closest to the right number. The winner takes home a small prize, or the whole jar with its contents! Tip; Use items related to your birthday party theme. Plastic bugs for an insect party, pink jelly beans for a pink or princess birthday party, rings for a glamour party etc.

 Have you ever...? Icebreaker game
Have birthday party guests sit in a circle, except for one, who is standing inside it. The person standing asks a "Have you ever" question. (ex. Have you ever been to the ocean?) If anyone else has done this they have to get up and quickly sit in another person's chair. However, they can't sit in a chair that's next to theirs. After all run to their new chairs, one will be left and they will ask the next question.  Fun icebreaker game!

 Hot Potato
Everyone sits in a circle and passes the potato from one person to the next. Someone calls time or stops the music and the person left holding the potato is out. Continue until there is only one person left. Maybe this could be changed slightly and called Hot Pikachu or the Hot Banana or whatever?

 Hula Hoopla Game
After splitting into two teams have children line up in two lines. Have each member of a team hold hands and tell them not to let go.  Teams then try and get the hula hoop from one end of the line to the other and then back again without letting go of their hands.  This birthday party game is silly and fun!

 Human Bingo Icebreaker
Each birthday party guest gets a sheet of paper marked in a grid of 25 squares and in each square is a statement.  Birthday guests must find people at the party that will answer yes to the statements and have them sign their name on the square. First guest done wins a prize. Sample statements: Rides a bike, Been to Disney World, Climbed a mountain, Met a celebrity, Lived in another state, Walks in their sleep... the options are endless! Fun icebreaker game!

Hum that tune Icebreaker
Write down the name of a song or nursery rhyme on pieces of paper and fold them. For each song write it down two times. Let guests pick a piece of paper and then they must hum that song. The birthday party guests hum their song and try to find the person who is humming the same song.

 Ice Breakers Ball game
Buy a large inflatable beach ball to be the icebreaker ball and in permanent marker write icebreaker questions all over it.  Place birthday party guests in a circle and have a guest throw the icebreaker ball  to another birthday party guest. The person who catches the icebreaker ball must answer the question that their right thumb is touching. After answering the question they then throw the ball to another guest in the circle.  Keep the birthday party icebreaker game ball for future party games!  Example questions (the more questions on the icebreaker ball the better!) What is the scariest movie you’ve seen? What is your favorite color? What are three adjectives that describe you? Who is your favorite band/singer? Who is your favorite movie star?  What is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to you?  What do you say when you talk in your sleep? What is your biggest phobia? If you were invisible what would you do? If you were an animal what would you be?

 Karaoke
This may be the only birthday activity a tween or teen birthday party needs!  (Except lots of food!) Find some fun CD's and let the kids take turns singing to their favorite music.  Usually the worse you are at singing the more fun it is, so everyone can have a good time!

 Mummy Wrap Game
One of the easiest and most fun games!  See which team can wrap their mummy in toilet paper first. Divide birthday party guests into teams of 2 or 3 and give them 2 rolls of toilet paper.  Let teams decide on who will be the mummy and then race to see who can wrap their mummy in toilet paper the quickest using all the paper. Stock up on paper and play this game a few times switching out mummy's.

 Limbo Game
Two older kids or adults hold a pole or broomstick at child's height. Start the music and have the children bend backwards and walk under the pole without touching it. After each round lower the pole an inch or two. If a player touches the pole, they are out. Game Variation:  Instead of a pole use something from your birthday party theme: Pirate Limbo - hold a play sword; Fairy Party - hold a magic wand.

 Line up Icebreaker Game
For this icebreaker game secretly give each birthday party guest a number and tell them not to share it with anyone. Tell them to line up and arrange themselves in numerical order without talking or holding up fingers. Kids will make up their own language and it is very funny to watch them try and communicate. You can also have them line up according to their birthday dates. Fun icebreaker birthday game!

 M&M Icebreakers Game
This icebreaker is played like the toilet paper game above except with M&M’s.
Orattach a certain question to each color of M&M.  Tell them not to eat the M&M’s until it is their turn. For each M&M color have a category that they must say one thing about themselves. Red = Family, Blue = Personal, Green = School, etc. Play this with Skittles or other colored candies.

 Make-unders
Buy some make-up and put it out somewhere. At the slumber party tell your friends to sit in a circle around it and grab what they like. Then draw numbers or roll a die and whoever is first gets to pick a partner and give then a make-under (make it look as funny as you can!)

 Matching Icebreaker Games
Party Guests are given one half of something and must find their correct match by talking with the birthday party guests.

 Mummy Wrap Game
For this fun sleepover game see which team can wrap their mummy in toilet paper first.

 Musical Chairs

Everyone hates to be the one left with "standing room only".  Just set up a line of chairs, one short from the number of players and start the music. Everyone walks around the chairs and sits down once the music stops.  Whoever is left standing has to drop out. Take away one chair so you are short one and start the music again. This continues until only one person has a chair.  They are the winner of this party game!

 Mystery Fishing Game
For the "water" use a large appliance box, hang a sheet across a doorway, or cover a table so that the "fish" (and the person in the water) are hidden from view. Tie a string to a stick and attach a clothespin on the end of the string.  Birthday party guests take turns "casting" the line into the "water". The person in the "water" puts small gifts, favors or candy on the clothespin and then tugs the string to signal that there is a "fish" on the line.  Then kids pull up the line and retrieve their prize.  This is a simple but fantastic birthday party game that kids adore!  Have lots of prizes because they will all want to do this birthday party game again and again.

 Nail Polish Song
This is a new twist on the game "Hot Potato".   Sit in a circle and give a bottle of nail polish to the birthday girl.  While singing the song pass the bottle around the circle.  When verse is over the girl holding the bottle of nail polish opens it and paints one of her nails.  Then start the song again and keep going until someone has all of their fingernails painted.  You can give out prizes or just have fun singing along.  Here is one version of the song ... you can easily make it to fit your daughter’s name and age with a little creativity.   "Happy Birthday to ________ ... we're so glad she's eighta, so we could come and play-ya.  Happy Birthday __________"!

 Nail Polish Birthday Spin Game
Fun game for girls at a make-up or spa birthday party.  Place several colors of nail polish in the middle of a circle of girls.  Have the birthday girl spin a bottle of nail polish.  Whoever the cap is pointing to when it is done spinning  must paint one of their fingernails that color.  Then that person spins the next color of nail polish .... and so on.  You can also have them paint their toes for this game too!

 Obstacle Course Games
Make a birthday party game obstacle course throughout your backyard using things like slides, elevated boards, trampoline, big boxes to crawl through and hula hoops to make the course.  Compete against teams in this game or against the stopwatch.  When they get good at the course make them do it again - walking or running backwards!

 Oversize Birthday Party Game
This birthday party game lets the kids really get involved!  On a very large patio or driveway draw a large (VERY large!) gameboard with chalk.  Make every square at least 18".  Make it in the shape of a circle or oval (or a figure 8).  Write "start" at the first square and then on each square write a command or action.  Example:  Square 2 = move ahead 3 spaces, Square 3 - jump up and down until your next turn, Square 4 = sing the national anthem until your next turn, Square 5 = go back 2 spaces ... and so on until every square is filled. Make 2 large oversize dice from boxes at least 12 x 12 (the bigger the better!).  The pieces being moved around the board are the kids themselves.  They roll the dice and then move themselves along the game board.  The winner is the one to reach the end space first by landing on it with an exact roll.  Kids LOVE this game!

Oversize Board Game - This game really gets you involved ... because you are the piece that moves around the board.  On a very large patio or driveway draw a large (VERY large!) game board with chalk.  Make every square at least 18".  Make it in the shape of a circle or oval (or a figure 8).  Write "start" at the first square and then on each square write a command or action.  Example:  Square 2 = move ahead 3 spaces, Square 3 - jump up and down until your next turn, Square 4 = sing the national anthem until your next turn,
Square 5 = go back 2 spaces ... and so on until every square is filled.  Make 2 large oversize dice (paint them white or leave unpainted and draw black circles on the sides of the "dice" - 1 - 6 dots)  from boxes at least 12 x 12 - the bigger the better!  Roll the dice and then move yourself along the game board - when you land on a square do what the square says.  The winner is the one to reach the end space first by landing on it with an exact roll.   This sleepover game is also fun to play at night with flashlights.

 Pairs Tag
For this icebreaker game have the kids pair up and tell them to pick whether they want to be a 1 or a 2. Then tell them that all 1’s are chasers. They must then tag the other person in their pair and that person becomes the chaser. This is fun with a big group because they will hide behind each other. Fun icebreaker game!

 Petting Zoo
Hire a small petting zoo to come to your backyard and set up all sorts of animals for the birthday party.  There are fun activities for all the birthday party guests!   Some even have miniature pony rides that can set up in your backyard!  Fun for all types of birthday themes - cowboy, western, barnyard, animal lovers, etc.

 Pillow Fight Icebreaker
For an icebreaker I usually just have everyone start in my room and start a pillow fight whoever you hit they must tell you something about them.

Pin the Tail on the Donkey
One of the oldest and most favorite party games.  But, it doesn’t have to be a donkey. Change the donkey and the tail to match your theme!

Examples:
  - Pin the butterfly on the
flower
  - Pin the heart on the tin man
  - Pin the tail on the T-Rex
  - Pin the tail on Pikachu
You get the idea.  Then each child is blindfolded and gets a try at placing the tail as close as possible to where it supposed to go.  The closest is the winner.

Pin the tail on the Donkey Games
Place a poster on the wall and put a piece of tape on the back of each object the children will be pinning on the poster. Blindfold children, spin them around, and point them toward the poster. The child who pins their object closest to the designated spot, is the winner! Tip: Use a poster from your birthday party theme for this game. Examples: Pin the spider on the web, tutu on the ballerina, nose on the clown, X on a treasure map etc.

Pirate Treasure Game
Fill a small pool or sandbox with sand and hide coins, birthday party favors, crystals, rings, jewelry - anything that goes with your birthday party theme in the sand. Have the kids use sifters and small shovels to sift through the sand and find the birthday treasures.  Can be used for Pirate, Dinosaur, Gold miners and other birthday themes by changing the games prizes hidden in the sand.

 Play Charades
Think of fun things that go with your sleepover theme and write them down on pieces of paper.  Divide your friends into two teams.  The first team picks a player to act out a word.  The player chooses a word - but doesn't show their teammates.  The player then tries to act out the word while her teammates try and guess what she is acting out.  If they guess the word the team gets 1 point.  Set a timer for 3 minutes - if the team cannot guess the word in 3 minutes then the other team gets one guess at what the word is.  If they are right they get the point.  Play to 10 points.

 Prize Auction Birthday Game
On the birthday party invitation ask each birthday guest
to bring an inexpensive item or a "white elephant" (something that is in good shape but they don't want anymore) wrapped in paper or a sealed in a paper bag.  Give the guests $20 in play money and start an auction for the unwrapped gifts.  For fun you can add food and gag gifts to the auction items.  Keep the gifts wrapped and don't let anyone know what is inside until the high bidder opens the item.  At the end let the kids trade or buy each other's presents from each other.

Prize Walk Birthday Game
Have a birthday prize walk instead of a cakewalk. Place numbers on the ground in a circle or oval.  Start the music and the birthday party kids walk around the circle until the music stops. Pick a number out of a hat or roll a dice to decide which number wins a prize. The child that is standing on the number that is picked gets to choose a small toy from the birthday games prize table.

 Punch Line Icebreaker
Write down jokes and their punch lines on separate pieces of paper. Have birthday party guests pick a piece of paper from a bowl as they enter the birthday party. The person with the joke has to match the person with the punch line. Read the jokes and answers out loud when everyone has been matched up. Fun birthday icebreaker game!

Red Light, Green Light Game
Classic outside game! Lay out two lengths of rope 25 feet apart to make the start and finish lines. The birthday child (who is now called the Police Officer) stands in front of the finish line while the others stand behind the start line. The Police Officer turns his/her back on the other players and shouts, "Green Light!" and then turns around and counts to five.

 Sack Races
Another classic picnic race party game.  Have everyone line up and stand inside of old feed sacks or other large sacks. Then start the race and have everyone hop to the finish line.  The first one there is the winner.

 Scavenger Hunt Games
Scavenger hunts can be played many different ways and are always fun games to play at a party.  The main idea
of the scavenger hunt games is to divide into teams / teams race to find (or do) the items on a list.

 Secret Sticker
For this "get to know you activity" birthday party guests are given a sheet of stickers and must get rid of them by placing them secretly on other guests.  If caught they must take one of the stickers of the party guest who caught them.  Only stick one sticker at a time - first one rid of their stickers wins! Fun birthday icebreaker game!  Use stickers from your birthday party theme.

 Silent Charades Game
Write down objects related to your birthday party theme for birthday guests to act out. Make 2 per object. Example objects: elephant, rock, fireman, princess.  Place in a container - birthday guests pick one piece of paper. They must find their "match"  by acting out what is on the paper without words. When they find their match they sit down next to that person.

 Silly Relay Race Games
Divide the kids into 2 groups for these games and have them race by:
Holding balloons between their knees
Jumping rope singing happy birthday
Balancing an object on head
Holding a balloon between two of the team members heads
Balancing a small ball on their feet
Skipping backwards
Bouncing a ball
Once they master the forward races, have them do them backwards!

 Simon Says
Have children stand up in front of “Simon” (Usually an adult or older child). The children must do what Simon tells them to do … but only if they say “Simon says” first. Example: Simon says … pat your tummy. Simon says … jump up and down. Simon says … summersault. The children can’t stop until Simon says … Simon says stop patting your tummy. If you give a command without saying Simon Says and the children do it then that child is out. Keep going until there is one child left.  Fun and easy and Kids love it! Tip: Think of about 25 commands before you start. Here are some fun ones: Jump up and down, shake your head, laugh out loud, hop like a frog, be a dog, crawl like a snake, stand on your head, dance in place, act like a chicken, do jumping jacks.

 Sleepover Ball Game
Buy a large inflatable beach ball and in permanent marker write questions all over it.  Place everyone in a circle and throw the ball to someone.  The person who catches the ball must answer the question that their right thumb is touching. After answering the question they then throw the ball to another person.
Fun questions to write on the game ball:  (The more questions on the ball the better!) What is the scariest movie you’ve seen? What is your favorite color? What are three adjectives that describe you? Who is your favorite band/singer? Who is your favorite movie star?  What is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to you?  What do you say when you talk in your sleep? What is your biggest phobia? If you were invisible what would you do? If you were an animal what would you be? Who's your secret crush?  What was your last dream about?  What is one thing about you that no one here knows?  What do you want to do when you grow up? Think of questions that you would want to be asked or things that you would like to know about others.

 Song Lyrics Icebreaker
Select well known songs known songs and write down several lines from each song. Cut the lyrics in half and place them in a bowl. Have birthday guests choose one piece of paper and tell them to match up their song lyrics with another guest. Select one song for every two guests.

 Song Maker Game
Pick one person at the sleepover to go first for the game.  Everyone in the group decides on a title of a song and then the person chosen first must make up a song to go with that title.  Example:  Little bunnies on my pillow.

So you think you can dance party
For your birthday party rent or purchase videos on how to country line, hip hop, ballet, belly dance, hula etc. then have the kids learn how to dance.  After the lesson take pictures or videos for everyone to enjoy!

 Spin the Bottle Game

(birthday gift opening game)
This birthday party game is fun when it is time to open the birthday presents.  Have kids hold the birthday present that they brought and sit in a circle.  Place the spinner (bottle or other item) in the middle of the circle and have the birthday child spin the bottle.  They will then open the gift of the child  the bottle is pointing to when it stops. Tip: Use an item from your birthday party’s theme instead of the bottle - magic wand for a princess party, sword for a pirate party etc.

 Spoon Race Games
Place an egg on the spoon and then with the word “Go“ the birthday party guests must walk from the starting line to the finish line without dropping the egg. The first one to cross the line with the egg still on the spoon wins the game.
For team games - divide the birthday party guests into 2 teams. Each team has one spoon and egg. Each member runs the course without dropping the egg. When they return they hand the egg and the spoon to the next person and that person runs the course. Continue until all birthday guests have completed the game race. For older children make the game course more complex by adding obstacles.  If they drop the egg then they pick it up, go back to the starting line and begin again.

 Sponge Relay Games
Divide birthday party guests into 2 teams. Use 4 buckets - place two at the starting line and two 30 or more feet away.  Fill the farthest buckets with water. Players take a sponge and run to the far bucket, dip the sponge in the water and then run back to the starting line bucket and squeeze the water into the empty bucket. The first team to fill their bucket wins. (Use larger buckets to hold the water first since a lot of the water will be lost as they race back to fill their bucket.) Variation: Race backwards for a crazy birthday party game twist!

 Tag Gone Wild Games
Kids love to play tag games (one person is “it” and if they touch or tag another person then that person becomes “it”) and there are many game variations that adapt to many different birthday party themes.

Crazy base tag Game -  Make bases using birthday party theme objects: maps for a pirate party, tutu’s for a ballerina party, bugs for a nature party etc.

Freeze tag Game - When a child gets tagged they must freeze in that position until they are unfrozen by another player. When “it” freezes everyone they get to pick the next “it”

TV tag Game - When tagged a child must call out a TV character. If they can’t think of one then they become “it”.

Ameba tag Game - When “it” tags someone they hold hands with “it” and both must run after the other children without letting their hands go. Every time a child is tagged they become part of the “it”.

Telephone Game
Have children sit in a circle for this birthday game. The birthday child goes first and whispers a sentence to the person on their right. That person then whispers what they heard to the next person … and so on. When the message has gone around the circle, the person next to the birthday child tells the message out loud. Then the birthday child tells the original message. Very funny to see how things repeated change! Start game again with the next person.

 Test Your Taste buds
Have one person make something from ingredients in the kitchen and then other person has to put on a blindfold and eats the food. The person with the blindfold on then makes a guess at what the food is or what ingredients are in it.

 Theme match Icebreaker
Use shapes or characters from your birthday theme for the guests to match up. Use two of each item. Example: Cowboy birthday party - match up pictures or objects of horses, ropes, cowboy hats, cowboy boots etc. Cinderella birthday party - match up glass slippers, magic wands, clocks etc. If you are giving a birthday party around a holiday you can use Christmas ornaments, pumpkins for Thanksgiving, etc.

 Three-legged Race
The classic picnic race game.  Have everyone line up in twos and tie one of their legs to their partners. Then start the race and see who can travel the fastest to a finish line.

 Toilet Paper Share Icebreakers
You’ll need a new roll of toilet paper for this icebreaker. Gather birthday party guests in a circle and tell them you are going to pass around the birthday party game toilet paper and to take as much as they think they need for the game.  Pass the paper around without any further instructions and have the guests take sheets of paper off the roll.  Explain that they are to share one thing about themselves for each square of paper they have. Fun icebreaker birthday game!

 Treasure Hunt Games
Birthday party treasure hunts can be played in many different ways.  The main idea of the treasure hunt game is to have the birthday party kids hunt hidden treasure by using clues.

 Truth or Dare Game
Sit in a circle and ask each other truth questions.  If the person you ask doesn't want to answer the question then they must do the dare.  We've made a fun list of free clean (rated G) truth or dare game questions for you to print out for the sleepover.

 Tunnel Tag Game
After a child is tagged they must stand with their legs apart and freeze until someone crawls though their legs to free them.

 Tween Idol
Fun for older children and teens.  Set up a karaoke machine with a CD of popular songs.   Ask if anyone wants to be a judge and set them up at a judging table.  Then the performers come out one by one and sing their favorite song (like American Idol).  Vote for the favorites and have another round each time eliminating one of the performers until you have a winner.

 What's My Line ?
The children sit in a circle. One player leaves the room.  While she is away the others decide what she should be when she returns. If they decide on a Rock star, for example, they call her back and she has to ask each player in turn what she has to buy for herself. One will say guitar, another a fancy costume, another a microphone and so on. If the "guesser" goes all the way around the circle without guessing what she is, then she must go out again. Then the players will choose something else. This game is very easy to adapt for different age groups ,
interests, and party themes.

 Who Am I?
Place a picture or a name of someone or something on the back of everyone at the party. Then everyone takes turns asking others questions about who they may be (what's on their back). The only answer you can give is yes or no.  The first one to figure out who or what they are will be the winner. I played this game one time at a company function where everyone was a star from a movie. I was Superman.  Of course superman was the last to figure it out!
